A word names a color, printed in a different color. Answer whatever the current rule asks — the ink, or the word. Your gut will fight you, and the rule keeps flipping. Beat the reflex.

Why it's built this way. Reading is automatic, so naming the ink instead of the word forces you to override an impulse — the exact skill (response inhibition) that's hardest and most valuable for ADHD brains. Flipping the rule adds cognitive flexibility: catch the change, drop the old habit, switch. Fast, colorful, and genuinely good practice for not acting on the first thing your brain shouts.
